The beginning of summer means several exciting things for us: warm evenings, barbecues and the launch of one of our favourite seasonal spuds: Cornish new potatoes.

Five farmers from across Cornwall, with land covering the length and breadth of the region, will be supplying Tesco stores nationwide with delicious seasonal crop from mid-June until the beginning of August.
Characterised by their thin fluffy skins and natural saltiness, Cornish new potatoes are favoured by customers for their delicious taste and convenience. The delicate skins means that there is no need to peel and can be enjoyed boiled or roasted, straight from the pan!
Being grown in the rich, fertile Cornish soils close to the sea gives the potatoes a subtle balance of natural salinity and sweetness, setting them apart from other new potatoes.
