If you’re looking for a really simple recipe to try-out with the kids in the kitchen, then look no further than these easy-to-follow mashed potato recipes. They are both easy to prepare and a great way to teach your children about the importance of vegetables!
We were joined by two little chefs Oscar and Noah in our kitchen at Branston to test out our go-to recipe and experiment with adding some of their favourite vegetables into their mash!
Basic recipe of mashed potato:
Peel and chop your potatoes into chunks
Put them into a pan of cold water, bring to the boil and simmer until they’re tender (around 15-20 min)
Drain through a colander and return them to the pan
Mash thoroughly, add butter and a splash of milk, season lightly and mix well.
